LUCY BLUE
BIOGRAPHY
Irish singer-songwriter Lucy Blue, hailing from Dublin, is rapidly emerging as one of Ireland’s most compelling new voices, earning early support across both the industry and live circuit. She first found her way into music as a teenager, writing songs as a means of processing her thoughts and experiences long before considering any public releases. At sixteen, she began producing her own material, teaching herself to use Logic Pro from her bedroom. What started as a private creative outlet soon evolved into a distinct artistic identity rooted in honesty, subtle storytelling, and a natural instinct for melody. Lucy attended Ballyfermot College of Further Education, but left in her second year after signing to Promised Land, a subsidiary of Columbia Records, at just seventeen to pursue music full-time. She quickly began making waves, handpicked to support artists including Snow Patrol, George Ezra, and Bears in Trees, alongside securing slots at major festivals such as Reading & Leeds, TRNSMT, and Isle of Wight, further cementing her growing reputation. Championing from key tastemakers saw her named in NME’s prestigious “NME 100” list and highlighted by Clash as one to watch. Following her move to London in 2020, she has continued to expand her creative network, regularly collaborating with acclaimed songwriters including Matt Maltese. Lucy Blue’s journey has also been defined by steady, organic growth. She’s built a substantial and loyal audience across platforms, drawn to her authenticity and immersive creative world. Her music sits at the intersection of bedroom pop and alternative storytelling, pairing understated melodies with starkly introspective lyricism. With a voice that feels both vulnerable and self-possessed, she creates songs that resonate like late-night thoughts you didn’t know how to say out loud. As she continues to release new material, Lucy Blue is carving out a space that feels deeply personal yet widely relatable. With her debut headline tour across Europe and next EP release upcoming this year, she continues to establish herself as a distinctive and exciting voice within Ireland’s new wave of alternative pop.
